Commercial Cleaning Tips

If you run your own business, chances are you’re busy thinking about the day to day running of things, rather than things you believe don’t matter. You’ve got leads to chase, customers to serve, products to sell and staff to manage – those dirty windows aren’t really a priority, are they?
Here at Bolton Cleaning Contractors we’re all about the windows (well, we’re mostly about the windows) but we understand they might not be the be all, and end all, of your workplace. However, we’re here to tell you that they are something you should give some consideration to.
The problem with dirty windows
No matter where your office building, shop or other place of work is based, if it’s got windows, they’re going to get dirty. Pollution, general dust and the occasional visit from a pigeon, all serve to cause streaks, marks and stains on your lookouts to the world. Whilst these may be inevitable, it doesn’t mean you have to put up with them.
In fact, you most certainly shouldn’t.
Having visibly dirty windows speaks volumes about your attention to detail, and professional approach to your business. Would you leave the house for a business meeting with egg yolk stains on your shirt? Chances are, no you wouldn’t. You’d want to make the best first impression possible on a new, or potential client/customer. Why then would you let your business premises look anything other than their absolute best?
Showing that you care about the little things will speak volumes. Admittedly, someone might not take the time to notice that your windows are spotless, or that your shop signs are clear – but one thing is for certain; they will most definitely notice if they’re not.
You might well argue that your clients or customers don’t come to your place of work. Perhaps you have an office building for your staff, but meet clients off site. If so, what’s the problem? Well, the problem remains for your staff, if not your customers.
Walking in to a visibly dirty, unkempt and uncared for office building can be bad for staff morale. It’s difficult to foster a sense of pride in where you work if the managers/owners don’t seem to care. Not only that, but clean windows ensure that more light is able to come in, and natural light is essential for good wellbeing. Goodness knows we get precious little sunlight in this part of the world at the best of times – why on earth would you want to block any of it out?
No matter how many windows you have, or how many storeys your building is, finding the time to clean your windows can be difficult. You do already have so much on your plate. Then you have to make sure you have the right equipment, the right clothing, and the right approach to ensure a good job is done.
We could give you a ton of tips to help you clean like a pro, but the reality is, when it comes to commercial window cleaning, you really are best off getting the professionals in.
